Cost to replace front differential on a 97' Nissan Altima?
I got a quote of 1600 to 1700 to replace the front differential on a 97 Nissan Altima. Does that sound inline, this means a rebuilt differential, of course. Differential's are normally integrated with the transmission, so that sounds unusually low for a front wheel drive vehicle. xelit0 | Read more Changing 2005 Nissan Xterra Rear Differential Fluid? I have a 2WD Nissan Xterra and want to change the differential fluid. I located the drain plug and the fill plug but is there more to it than simply draning and refilling the gear oil? Just make sure you park on a level surface and fill the diff up till it starts coming out of the fill hole. Be sure to use the correct diff fluid as well. If it's an automatic use 75W-90 GL-5 synthetic and if it's a 6 speed or O/R then use 75W-140 GL-5 synthetic. Randall K | Read more Does a nissan hardbody 1994 differential fits a 1987 truck?
