Red Line 50304 Manual Transmission (MT) 90W Gear Oil - 1 Quart
Red Line Oil MTL and MT-90 are designed to provide excellent protection and improved shiftability for manual transmissions and transaxles, having cured the problem of hard shifting in thousands of transmissions with shifting troubles. They have the appropriate coefficient of friction for most manual transmission synchronizers (many gear oils, engine oils, and ATFs are too slippery for proper synchro engagement). And, the wide viscosity of MTL and MT-90 allow proper shifting over the entire temperature range which the transmission will experience. The synthetic base oils used have a very high viscosity index which provides relatively constant viscosity as temperature changes. MTL is a low 70W at very low temperatures and a high 80W, nearly an 85W, at elevated temperatures, providing adequate viscosity to prevent wear and deaden gear noise. MT-90 is a thicker 75W90 version of MTL.

How do you change a front differential bearing on a 2005 Nissan Titan 4WD?
I've recently discovered a clunking noise in the front end of my Titan when coming to a stop. After putting the truck on ramps I found the CV axle on the driver's side that inserts into the differential has some loose motion in it which is causing the noise. It sounds to me like a bad differential bearing, but does the differential have to be disassembled in order to change it? And is it the inner or outer bearing that would be causing the problem? I see that both are offered at most part stores. Thanks in advance for your help!
How often does the automatic transmission in a 2007 Nissan Frontier 4x2 need to be flushed and refilled?
I also need to know how often the differential needs to be drained and refilled. The truck has 29000 miles and I trying to get it serviced by the dealer. They told me that these things don't need to be done but the maintenance guide that came with it says they should.
Please look at the "REAL" maintenance guide in your owners manual. Sure it is good to replace all the fluids every 30K miles but not necessary. Differentials need new 75/90wt grease every 30k in dusty conditions or 50K on streets and highways. The flyer sent to you by the dealer is just a suggestion. Other 30k items are in cabin and motor air filters motor oil change coolant change wiper blade inserts rotate and rebalanced tires. And if necessary install lower A frame adjuster eccentrics and wheel alignment. Also have the brake pads looked at while the wheels are removed. If you just do a drain and refill of 4 quarts every year the transmission will be just fine.
How many bottles do i need for a rear differential fluid?
im going to change my diffrential fluid for my 2004 nissan frontier 4 cyl how many bottles of 80-90 fluid do i need. Also can you tell me does this truck have a rear and front diffrential i need to change?
Pull out the owners manual section #9 page #2 Your truck most likely does not have 4 wheel drive However if it did. front differential would hold approx 2 3/4 pints. The rear differential holds 5 7/8 pints. Now for lubrication specifications API American Petrolium Institute GL-5 Gear Lube. If you have the rear locking differential GL-5 LS oil.
